Egyptian cotton vs Turkish Cotton

 Which towel is better?

Whenever the topic is "towels", there is also debate on which towels are better, Egyptian or Turkish.

The answer is simple, both are really good, both are the superior towels, that can be found in the market. However depending on your need, one is a better fit for you.

Egyptian Cotton Towels

Egyptian cotton has longer and thicker fibers. Hence the fabric woven with this type of cotton provides more absorbency, which is especially suited for apparel and sheets, since it can also absorb humidity and sweat from your skin and makes you more comfortable. Similarly Egyptian towels known with their luxurious fluffy texture and super high absorbency. On the other hand that kind of towels are heavier, harder to pack and store (not easy to use during travel) and, it requires more time to be totally dried. Hence it is easier to have molds on this type towels, requiring more care.

Turkish Cotton Towels

Being produced in close areas and similar climates, Turkish cotton has also have long and thick fibers, however they are slightly shorter and thinner than Egyptian cotton. With its unique length and thickness Turkish cotton has good absorbency (however less than Egyptian cotton) and faster drying capability, which makes Turkish towels comfortable, cozy and suitable for everyday use.
